Redneck Drift

Redneck Drift started as a fun experiment to see if I could implement decent looking vehicular destruction, and somehow morphed into a fully playable mini-racing game with two tracks.
Controls:
Keyboard
| WASD | accelerate, brake, and steer |
| Spacebar | handbrake |
| Left-Ctrl | toggle headlights |
| Left-Alt | honk |
| R | respawn (when stationary) |
Gamepad
| Right trigger | accelerate |
| Left trigger | brake |
| Left thumbstick | steer |
| Circle | handbrake |
| X | toggle headlights |
| Y | honk |
| A | respawn (when stationary) |
I've not had many chances to have it play-tested (except my amazingly supportive girlfriend and a couple of colleagues / friends) so I'd really appreciate any feedback and bugs that you may find.
So thank you in advance if you decide to have a go, and I sincerely hope it will bring you at least a bit of entertainment!

Hey benitosub,
This game is awesome! The driving controls take a second to get used to but I really love the drifty feel. I am however not skilled enough to take on even the easy ai haha. The destruction physics were great and was not expecting my driver to fly out the window! If you're looking to expand on the game, would love to see more tracks and even just to simply change the colour of the car. Though if you were to add more models that would also be cool. I streamed my playthrough of your game and while the game was fine on my end, it was unfortunately lagging on stream (obviously an issue with my computer handling multiple things at once!) Hopefully my reaction to the game is enough to let people know I really enjoyed it.

LOVE THIS so much!!! I was NOT expecting the aeroplane lol I want more custom horns, liveries, more tracks, more AI oh and I want to make the AI a bit easier, maybe rubber banding, and I want split times too, and I want to compare my times against my friend's times so I can compete against them, and I want to upgrade my car to go faster and I want DLC and microtransactions so I can pay to win, and I want more cars at the same time and more damage, and a button that teleports me back onto the track, and a rewind feature, and pedestrians and animals on the edge of the track, and I want weaponry as well, maybe a big flamethrower or a machine gun or something, and I want multiplayer and I want tie-in cross-promotion with other brands too, I want a Balatro-sponsored car and I want to see Redneck Drift card packs in Balatro, I want more force-feedback in my controller, and finally I also want splitscreen and more game modes, like tournaments and modes like eliminator and Barrel Barrage from that awesome game Hotshot Racing released in 2020. What an amazing game that was
Wow some really good ideas in there! Some of them might be a bit beyond the scope of what I can realistically achieve (Balatro crossover would be awesome though!), but I've just added force feedback and fixed a bunch of bugs, so I'll hopefully be posting a small update soon.

Never heard of Hotshot Racing but going to check it out right away :)
you should totally check out hotshot racing, it's one of the best games I've ever played, honestly it's unbelievable. Whoever did the slipstream mechanic for that game deserves an award, it's SO perfect
Nice game, the only issue i came across was the tires colliding into the ground. But overall, feels good!
